AIDA welcomes the Zuegg company in Albania

Following the interest shown during the Biofach 2024 fair, the Zuegg company visited Albania on April 9 – 10, to explore investment opportunities in the Agriculture sector, signaling a promising step towards further economic development.

Zuegg is an Italian company that has been operating in the market since 1890. The Zuegg brand is the leader in Italy for the production of jams and they are among the main actors for the production of fruit juices. Currently, they have 6 production plants in Europe: two in Italy, two in Germany, one in France and one in Russia.

On April 9, the Albanian Investment Development Agency welcomed representatives of the Zuegg company to its premises. During the meeting, the discussion was mainly focused on the ways in which AIDA can assist them, as well as on the subject’s investment plans in the sub-sector of soft fruits such as: strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

On April 10, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, AIDA organized several field visits in Fier. Zuegg visited Fraeno Agriculture, a company with experience in the export of fruits and vegetables. The visit continued with a close inspection of some strawberry greenhouses of the Fragoland company, which grows organic strawberries.

Zuegg appreciated the strategic position of Albania, the quality of the products, as well as the potential that our country offers in the cultivation of these soft fruits. AIDA will continue exploring the possibilities for Zuegg to expand in Albania, as well as the system of the subject in every further step of this process.
