The Albanian Investment Development Agency participated in the “Investment facilitation, decent work and sustainable development” training, in Turin
The Albanian Investment Development Agency participated in the “Investment facilitation, decent work and sustainable development” training, in Turin, from June 11 to 14, 2024.
This training was organized by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), supported by GIZ and in partnership with the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITCILO) and brought together representatives from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA), relevant ministries and business support organizations from across the region.
During the 4 days a number of topics were covered including:
1️⃣ Policy frameworks related to investment facilitation and sustainable development, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, responsible business conduct and sustainable supply chains.
2️⃣ Thematic issues such as FDI in renewable energy and the generation of decent employment.
3️⃣ Institutional strengthening of IPAs to fulfill their mandates, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of FDI on decent work, using technology and digitization, and improving regional networking.
Benefiting from the invaluable suggestions and recommendations from this training, AIDA is committed to implementing further initiatives that promote sustainable development as well as creating valuable opportunities for cooperation with counterpart agencies in the Mediterranean region.
