Enterprise Europe Network is a project of the European Union, co-financed by the COSME program, with a focus on supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
The network assists entrepreneurs to improve and innovate through partnerships, information exchange, advice and expertise. The network offers integrated services tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises, universities, research centers, as well as all other interested parties.
The purpose of this project in Albania is to provide added value advice and support to Albanian companies, to enable companies to internationalize themselves through increasing managerial capacities, risk analysis and information to enter new markets.
The Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), during the implementation period, was the coordinator of the Albanian Consortium, which consisted of 4 (four) public and private institutions and organizations:

Year 2012-2014
“ClusterPoliSEE” was a European project aimed at developing and increasing the entrepreneurship capacity of Clusters in South East Europe (SEE). AIDA was the only Albanian partner participating in this ambitious 2-year project which brought together 25 partners from 11 countries.
The main goal was to identify reflective policy making mechanism pattern, develop intelligent benchmarking methodology for specific cluster policy, training package as common knowledge base and foresight exercise reports.

The project was financed by the European Commission through the SEE Program.
Year 2013-2014
The object of this project was to help the development of women-owned small and medium enterprises operating and promoting the tourism sector. It also contributed to gender equality by helping the economic empowerment of woman in this area. Contribution to enhanced cross-border cooperation between Albania (Shkoder region) and Montenegro (Podgorica/Bar) through joint woman’s participation in improving rural tourism offer.
AIDA has been the Lead Partner in this project, responsible for the overall coordination of the activities on both sides of the border, organizing joint meetings of the project partners, regular information exchange and correspondence between all partners on both sides of the border.
This project was co-financed by EU and is implemented within the cross-border program Interreg IPA Italy-Albania-Montenegro. AIDA was a project partner in Albania.
The implementation of this project started in April 2018 and lasted until March 2020.
The main goal was to increase the competitiveness of SMEs and cross-border cooperation by strengthening the link between research and business thought the establishment of three cross-border fertilization and innovation laboratories in the agri-food sector in Albania (Korça), Montenegro (Niksic-Tehnopolis) and Puglia (Bari – CIHEAM) based on the FILA model.
The implementation period: Year 2018-2020
This project was implemented in Albania by the Albanian Development Fund and was under the inter-regional program Adrion – Interreg.
The implementation time of this project was from 2018 to 2020.
This project aims to increase the potential for knowledge and technology transfer, inter-institutional and cross-sectorial cooperation of innovation actors in the blue economy (mainly fisheries and shipbuilding) and emerging sectors (blue technologies, including aquaculture-robotics and new materials), strengthening the relationship between them through knowledge sharing and community-based approach.
AIDA was in the role of a supporting partner of the BLUE BOOST project.
